This series consists of certificates of the sales of the public real estate sold by the Branch Bank at Mobile according to the provisions of the act of 1843 ". . .to settle the affairs (liquidate) of the State Bank and its Branches." Included are the certificate number, the name of the person who purchased the land, the date of purchase, a description of the location and boundaries of the land, and the cost of the property. Also included are the date of entry of the cash payment into the day book and newspaper clippings advertising the sale of real estate.
